Minors

If you are a minor or if you are a parent considering bringing your minor to Cherry Bomb Tattoo & Body Piercing Studio, please read this section carefully. We require our tattoo/piercing paperwork to be notarized by a notary public to ensure parental consent. Here at Cherry Bomb, we have a notary on site to assist in this process and we require several forms of identification for both the parent and minor. This may seem excessive, but the requirements have been carefully designed to protect all parties involved and are required by state and county law. Florida law requires anyone under the age of 18 to have parental consent. Not all parents and their children have the same last name or address, therefore, we may require multiple forms of identification. Essentially, you must be able to prove that the minor is in fact your child or you are the legal guardian. We apologize if this is inconvenient for you, but this is the only way that we can legally render services for minors. Remember, the law, in this case, is designed to protect your children.

PIERCING, with parental consent: Minor must be at least 15 years of age and have a parent or guardian present. Both parent/guardian and minor must have the required identification (see below). We will not preform any genital piercings on a minor regardless of parental consent (this may or may not include tongue piercings). For ear piercings, our policies are enacted "per customer" meaning we may pierce the ears of someone younger than 15, but it is up to our discretion. This is not Florida law but our own personal policy. We reserve the right to offer or refuse service to any minor that comes in.

TATTOOS, with parental consent: Minor must be at least 16 years of age and have a parent or guardian present. Both parent/guardian and minor must have the required identification (see below). We will not tattoo hands, fingers, face or the side of the neck on minors. We will not tattoo obscene, vulgar, or gang-related artwork on minors.

Required Identification: The ID’s provided by the parent and the minor must have matching last names and addresses; if the minor ID (which must have photo and birthdate) does not have an address or if the last names do not match, the minor must have a birth certificate that indicates the accompanying parent’s name. In the case of a name change, please bring an original social security card, divorce decree, or something showing the parent’s original name. If you are the legal guardian of the minor, you must provide court documents proving so. The minor must have a photo ID. If you are a minor and have been emancipated than all original emancipation paperwork must be provided.

*We reserve the right to refuse any service for any reason*
